For Churchie Old Boy James Harris (2024), an exciting new chapter is taking shape as he pursues the opportunity to continue his tennis career while undertaking university studies in the United States.

A member of the Churchie First IV Tennis team during his time at School, James has recently commenced the process of exploring opportunities within the US collegiate system, with the aim of beginning his American college journey in Spring 2027.

The collegiate pathway offers student-athletes the chance to combine high-performance sport with tertiary study and has become a popular avenue for young Australian athletes seeking to further their development both on and off the court.

Since graduating from Churchie in 2024, James has remained committed to his tennis, continuing to train and compete regularly as he prepares for the next stage of his sporting and academic journey. His ongoing dedication has positioned him well as he works towards finding the right collegiate program to support his ambitions.

The Churchie Old Boys' Association congratulates James on this exciting opportunity and wishes him every success as he embarks on the next phase of his tennis career. We look forward to following his progress in the years ahead and sharing updates from his journey in the United States.
