Class of 1989

Old Boy Peter Jeremijenko (1989) has always led an active life committed to serving and helping others. At Churchie he was in the cross-country team, a member of the 2nd XV rugby team and President of the Student Representative Council. Since then, Peter has gone on to become a renowned stunt performer and actor, known for his work at Movie World in over 10,000 live shows. Additionally, he has performed in over 100 movies and television shows, including The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions and Pitch Black.

Recently, Peter’s passion for action, charity work, and serving his community has seen him hit the road as an enthusiastic member of Bloodbikes Australia. Founded in September 2019 by Peter Davis, this non-emergency volunteer organisation has become a nationwide force of humanity, offering free last-resort pickups and deliveries of critically important items for 43 health care providers. They transport items such as biopsies, COVID-19 tests, stem cells, medical files and of course blood.

Fellow Old Boy Grant Menzies (1988) of Adina Watches is also a huge supporter of community organisations, so it didn’t take long to see the obvious synergies to collaborate with Peter to produce a bespoke watch for the Bloodbikes Australia volunteers.

Bloodbikes Australia does not accept donations but is always looking for new volunteers who are passionate about motorbikes and helping those in need, or perhaps you are in the medical profession and could make use of their service. Please click here to let us know so we can put you in contact with Peter Jeremijenko, or if you prefer follow them on Facebook.
