RideWest is a challenging 1,237km boutique charity bike ride from Brisbane to Longreach with the aim of raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and in particular to help men with mental illness in outback Queensland. In a peloton of 30 riders, it is said that the true reward is in sharing this experience with like-minded people. Such camaraderie could not be more evident than last month (Saturday 21 to Friday 27 April) when five Old Boys and one current parent took to the road on their pushies to complete the gruelling challenge across rugged terrain and passing through remote Queensland towns. The photo was taken in Condamine, the half way mark of the ride.

This inspiration of this event and its charity focus ties strongly to the values and ethos of Churchie with our Service tenet and the fabric of our boarding community.  It is tremendous to see members of our Churchie community challenging themselves and making a difference in supporting the community.
