Formed at the end of 2015, ‘Twinfolds’ is a band of four mates who decided to make some original music together. Three of those four are Old Boys: James Martoo (2014), Hamish Litster (2014) and Nelson Partoredjo (2015). Previously known as ‘Vertigo’, from humble beginnings playing in living rooms and backyards, the band has played to progressively larger crowds at more established venues.
The band already has many notable achievements. These include signing with Sydney-based indie label The A&R Department for the release of their debut single ‘Get Away’, playing Sydney’s Oxford Factory, winning The Brightside’s 2017 Homegrown Battle of the Bands competition and, more recently, playing to a capacity crowd at Brisbane’s Blackbear Lodge for the single launch of their track ‘Velvet Revolution’.
Together they have worked tirelessly to produce their debut EP ‘No Feeling is Final’, which will be released on Friday 30th June 2017 on all major music platforms. Reflective of the diverse nature of influences that band has taken on during their time writing together, the EP is an ambitious collection of songs that each has their own personality and direction, and together forms a wholesome and eclectic final product.
Twinfolds will celebrate the launch of their EP with a show at The Brightside in Fortitude Valley on July 28. You can Like their Facebook Page for more.
