Old Boy Connor D’Netto (2011) is continuing to pursue his dream of a career in music. As the Artistic Director and Producer of Argo, a local contemporary classical music concert series, Connor is seeking to create opportunities for other young Australian artists. He is also developing new and younger audiences for classical music, staging innovative events that challenge the norms of musical performance, creating immersive art music experiences.
The focus of Argo is on creating engaging, experiential events, combining contemporary classical music with electronic music, live-visuals, and fostering creative collaborations between artists of various mediums.
With the 2017 concert season commencing soon, Connor is treating Brisbane to five unique experiences, with collaborations featuring some of Australia’s most talented soloists, ensembles, composers, and visual artists. Tickets for SATURATION, Argo’s first concert of the year featuring triple-Grammy-winner Tim Munro, are on sale now through QTIX. Another highlight of the season sees Argo team up with Queensland Music Festival and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, to transform two of Brisbane’s unique landmarks to create a dramatic double-concert experience.
